Dora McDonald Gunn, 97, of Moultrie, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Agape Health & Rehab.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 1, at Oakdale Baptist Church, in Moultrie, with the Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Burial followed in Oakdale Cemetery with Shawn Gunn, Stacey Gunn, Scott Gunn, Adam Gunn, Keith Griner, Ken Braswell and Garrett Griner serving as pallbearers.

Born Jan. 6, 1915, in Sumner, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Alford J. McDonald and Carrie Tompkins McDonald. She had worked at Riverside Uniform Rentals and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Gunn; brothers, George McDonald, Frank McDonald, Allen McDonald, Earnest McDonald and Dan McDonald; and sisters, Elizabeth M. Woods, Sally M. Hufstetler, Lucinda M. Langdale, Carolyn McDonald and Ruby M. Foye.

Survivors include sons, Wilton L. “Pete” Gunn and wife Charlotte of Eagle River, Alaska, Norman DeWitt Gunn Jr. and wife Connee of Climax, Ga., Paul Gunn and wife Patsy of Eagle River, Alaska, Silas Gunn and Jan Demott of Moultrie, and Rick D. Gunn and wife Melanie of Dublin, Ga.; daughter, Gail G. Weaver and husband Emory of Norman Park, Ga.; grandchildren, Scott and Joyce Gunn, Monika and Keith Griner, Gina Johnson, Greta Powell, Neal Gunn, Zoey Gunn, Shawn and Jill Gunn, Stacey Gunn and Adam Gunn; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Reaching Out Foundation.

Baker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
