A homegoing celebration for Henrietta Dublin Wimberly, 86, of Bainbridge, was held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with Rev. Melvin Prince officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Herman Peterson, George Washington, Rochell Harris Jr., Steve Smith, Mark Smith and Jarvis Smith acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the grandsons and nephews.

Henrietta Dublin Wimberly was born June 17, 1926, to the late Oddie Dublin and Rosa Lee Taylor in Terrell County, Ga., the fifth of nine children.

She attended school in Terrell County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Wimberly; a son, Willie Edison; brothers, Matthew Taylor, Willie King Sr., Al Jay Taylor, and James King; two sisters, Mary Sue Ousley and Josie Will Murray.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Cheatem; two step-daughters, Sharon Wimberly and Delanda (Ranzy) Jenkins, all of Bainbridge; nine grandchildren, Curtis (Beverly) Holmes, Barbara Buchanan, Fred (Charlyne) Holmes, Shekeria Duncan, Andrea Jenkins and Angelica Turner; Anthony Wimberly, Quintina Murphy, Shannon Wimberly, all of Bainbridge; two sisters, Hazel (Eugene) Smith of Dawson, Ga., Minnie (Melvin) Prince, of Shelman, Ga.; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Melton Mortuary of Attapulgus was in charge of the arrangements.
