BMS runners sweep titles

Bainbridge Middle School attended the Southwest Georgia Region Championship cross-country meet in Pelham, Ga., on Tuesday, with both the boys and girls teams taking first place.

Carson Inlow took first place on the two-mile course, finishing with a time of 12 minutes, 17 seconds, in the boys division. Wright Cook was third overall, with a time of 13:16, and Dailon Hamilton took sixth, with a time of 13:39.

In the girls division, Kameron Timmons led the Lady Cats with a third-place finish and a time of 15:28. Madison Wiggins was fifth, with a time of 15:33 and Camry Fillingame placed eighth, with a time of 16:43.

“It was a crowning day for the Bainbridge Middle School runners,” coach Lisa Enfinger said. “This was the last meet of the season for the middle-school team, and we could not have ended any better. All the hard work the runners have put into this season was demonstrated in the great times from all the runners. It was a fantastic season.”

BMS shines at Central meet

Three Bainbridge Middle School Bearcats runners also turned in strong efforts last Saturday, at the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets Invitational Cross Country Meet.

Carson Inlow finished second overall, completing the two-mile middle school course in a time of 10 minutes, 14 seconds.

Jamori Register was eighth overall, with a time of 12:45, and Colby Nix was 10th overall, with a time of 13:02.
