Pete Emmons and Ann Marie Rose-Emmons of Bainbridge recently opened their new law practice, Emmons & Rose, LLC, on the square in downtown Bainbridge, 105 West Street, just around the corner from the Decatur County Courthouse.
Pete and Ann Marie relocated to Bainbridge last year from New Jersey, joining their parents, Albert and Leah Emmons, and brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Tina Emmons of Climax, to raise their six sons. Their eldest sons Michael and David attend Thomas University in Thomasville; John attends Bainbridge Middle School, Joseph and Thomas are in the fifth grade at Hutto Middle School and youngest son Samuel is attending John Johnson Elementary School.
Between them, the couple has more than 25 years of experience in the practice of law. Pete graduated from the Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, N.J., and Ann Marie graduated from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Del. Having owned and operated a private practice law firm for many years, they look forward to bringing their legal experience to represent the residents of southwest Georgia.
Their previous practice included representation in family, criminal and bankruptcy matters. Pete served as solicitor for several large municipalities, representing land use and zoning boards located just outside of the Philadelphia, Pa., area. Ann Marie held various public official appointments and served as county counsel, prosecutor, and public defender during her legal career. Currently, Ann Marie is a member of the faculty at Thomas University, where she brings 12 years of teaching experience in the areas of Business, Law, Political Science and Criminal Justice.
Having recently been admitted to the Georgia Bar, Pete is now seeing new clients, Mondays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments for consultations can be made by calling (229) 246-7770.
