Services for Julia Vickers West, 65, of Bainbridge, are at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, in Cairo, Ga. The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, in Cairo. Mrs. West passed away at Memorial Hospital & Manor, in Bainbridge, on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.

Active pallbearers will be William Cook, Eddie Rogers Jr., Tommy High, Alex Vela, Shane Bailey and Toby Miller.

Mrs. West was born on Nov. 22, 1946, in Winter Haven, Fla., to the late William Hatcher Vickers and Eunice Pearl Smith Vickers. She was married to Leroy West, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2009. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Sharon West of Bainbridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Harry Nazworth of Cairo, Vickie Lynn Cook and Jorge Leyva of Bainbridge, Judy and Eddie Rogers of Cairo, Becky and Johnny Merritt of Cairo, Kimberly Anglin of Bainbridge; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Vickers of Bainbridge; sisters, Pearl Cook, Edna Davis, Alicia Hadley, all of Bainbridge; half-brothers, Doug Vickers, Jackie Vickers, Harold Vickers and Bobby Vickers, all of Bainbridge; half-sisters, Sharon Harrell, Elizabeth “LuLu” Snellgrove and Betty Frances McLendon, all of Bainbridge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a grandson, Thomas West.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
