June Mock Lane, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Riverside Place in Bainbridge.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Medley and Pastor John Woodrum officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Lane-Durham Cemetery in Brinson.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lane was born Dec. 16, 1934, near Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of T.M. “Pony” Mock and Myrtice Houston Mock. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Bainbridge College, and was a nurse at Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for many years and was in the Lydia Sunday School Class. She recently attended worship services at Grace Church. She was a wonderful farmer’s wife and a great mom.

Survivors include her son, T. Lanier Lane and his wife, Diane, of Bainbridge; her daughters, Lynn L. Birdsong and her husband, Billy, of Bainbridge, and Lori L. Eubanks and her husband, Charles, of Leesburg, Ga.; her brother, Glenn Mock and his wife, Barbara, of Screven, Ga.; her sisters, Mary Petty of Callahan, Fla., and Sue Butler and her husband, Rick, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Lance Birdsong, Lee Birdsong, Dia Lane, Josh Smith, Jeana E. Murphy, and Chris Eubanks; and her great-grandchildren, Katelynn Birdsong, Mason Birdsong, Austin Birdsong, Perry Birdsong, Laney Birdsong, Maverick Birdsong, Paris Birdsong, Coulter Birdsong, Mikayla Eubanks, McKenzie Lacey, and Gavin Lacey.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, James D. “Billy” Lane.
