Cross-country teams strong in Tifton

Coach Lisa Enfinger’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats cross-country teams turned in strong performances at Saturday’s Tift County Invitational Meet, in Tifton, Ga.

Chase Harris led the Bearcats to a second-place overall finish, completing the 5,000-meter (3.1-mile) course in a third-place time of 16 minutes, 47 seconds.

Also turning in strong performances were Tae Ross, with a time of 18:17, Brad Cox, with a time of 18:22, Bennett Enfinger, with a time of 18:56, and Brendon Greene, with a time of 18:56.

Lady Cats Paige and Amber Braswell were third and fourth, in times of 20:54 and 21:04.

Carson Inlow of the Bainbridge Middle School Bearcats was fourth overall in the middle school boys division.

“We are continuing to get better and stronger each week,” coach Enfinger said. “This Saturday our Bearcats and Lady Cats will be competing in Thomas County at the Thomas County Central High School Invitational Meet.”

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the Middle School Bearcats and Lady Cats will travel to Pelham, Ga., to compete in the Southwest Georgia Middle School Meet.
