Baty, Henderson are Open bass champions

TOP ANGLERS: Decatur County anglers Kyle Henderson, left, and Matt Baty display their $10,000 first prize check as they hold their children following Sunday’s final weigh-in at the second annual Lake Seminole Open Team Bass Tournament.

The Decatur County team of Matt Baty and Kyle Henderson pulled in 37 pounds, 5 ounces, of bass Saturday and Sunday, to win the second-annual Lake Seminole Open Team Bass Tournament.

The tournament was sponsored by the Bainbridge Covention and Business Bureau and Rifle & Rod Magazine.

Baty and Henderson received the $10,000 first place prize, plus an additional $2,000 from Rifle & Rod.

Second through fifth place finishing teams were George Kapiton and Brandon Medlock, with 35 pounds, 9 ounces; Robbie Crosnoe and Jim Folks, with 31 pounds, 9 ounces; W.C. Johnson and Tommy Tullos, with 29 pounds, 5 ounces; and Brad Hambric and T.J. Faircloth, with 28 pounds, 15 ounces.

The top 10 teams get together after the final weigh-in.
