Grace set to start playoffs Thursday

Coach Joel Bass’s Grace Christian Academy Cougars soccer team will play their first Panhandle Christian Conference playoff game Thursday against the Northside Methodist Academy Knights, in Dothan, Ala.

If they win, they will play Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the regional semifinal game. The championship game will be Saturday.

Bryce McQuaid, the son of Andy and Monica McQuaid and the Cougars’ only senior, recently was presented a game ball signed by his teammates.

Making the presentation were Bass and Grace athletic director Steve Murr.

Going into the playoffs, McQuaid has scored nine goals and collected five assists.
