The Bainbridge High School junior varsity Bearcats football team lost 14-6 to the Thomas County Central High School junior varsity Yellow Jackets Thursday at Centennial Field.
Trailing 14-0 at halftime following Yellow Jackets touchdown runs of 20 yards in the first quarter and 10 yards in the second quarter, the Bearcats held the visitors scoreless in the second half.
BHS sophomore running back Tremain McCray scored from 20 yards out on a sweep around the right side in the fourth quarter to cut the Bearcats lead to the final of 14-6.
The attempted two-point conversion run was stopped short. The loss evened the JV Bearcats’ season record at 2-2.
