After-school art classes begin Thursday

The Afterschool Art Program offered by the Bainbridge-Decatur County Council for the Arts will begin its fall session starting Thursday, Sept 6. The classes will be taught each Thursday from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., for a six-week session.

Two sessions will occur this fall:

• Session I: Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27, Oct. 4, 11

• Session II: Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6, 13

Each six-week session costs $90 for instruction and all supplies, and is open to children currently enrolled in second through fifth grades.

Possible classes offered may include: painting with watercolors and acrylics; printing; beading; weaving; mosaics; drawing; pottery; seasonal crafts; plastic carving; wire sculpture; tie-dye shirts; paint-on shirts; and finger weaving. Photography will be a new addition to the classes offered this session.
