The Decatur County Band Booster Club recently held a contest to rename the concession stands at Centennial Field. Members of the club staff and work the concession stands at each home football game. Each member of the Bainbridge High School band was given the opportunity to submit a new name for consideration and the club officers selected the winning entry. Band member Tanner Jackson’s entry, “The Bearcast Band Stand,” was chosen as the new name of the concession stands.

The Band Booster Club’s mission, in partnership with Paschal Ward, the band director, and the school administration, is to provide each of the band members an opportunity to receive the best music education possible. To accomplish this objective, the Booster Club provides moral, physical, and financial support to the band program in an effort to expose and apprise the band members to the many opportunities available through participation in the musical arts.

Additionally, the Booster Club assists those less fortunate to be able to enjoy the benefits of band participation and encourages the band members to be the best ambassadors possible for Bainbridge High School.
