New Home Free Will Baptist Church — The church, located near Vada, will be having a gospel sing on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. The  featured group will be the Straight and Narrow, from Hartford, Ala.

Greater Mt. Calvary First Born Church of the Living God, Inc. — The church, located on Southeast Broad Street, in Climax, will have a Musical Extravaganza on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m., with choirs, praise teams, praise dancers and soloists.

First Presbyterian Church — The First Presbyterian Church of Bainbridge will have the annual Kirkin o’ the Tartan at the morning service on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m., featuring the Tallahassee Bagpipe Band. A covered dish dinner will follow the service.

Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church — The church, located at 1810 S. West St., will observe the annual Men and Women Day on Aug. 26 at 11:15 a.m. Dinner will be served.

Jordan Grove M.B. Church — The church, located at 176 Florence Drive, will observe its 128th anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 26. Morning worship is at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and a 1:30 p.m. service, with the Rev. Brian Ramey and the Friendship M.B. Church family.

• Bethel A.M.E. Church — The church, located at 702 Griffin Ave., in Attapulgus, will observe its 147th anniversary on Aug. 26, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Gloria Walden as speaker.

Second St. James M.B. Church — The church, located at 1912 South Potter St., will hold the Armor of God Conference on Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. The theme is “Know Your Enemy.”

Spring Hill P.B. Church — The church, located at 1854 Lane Bridge Road, will observe the annual revival on Sept. 5 through Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. nightly, with pastor Titus Butler of Thomasville leading the services on the theme, “Seeking Souls for Jesus Christ.”

E.D.E.N. International Ministries, Inc. — The church, located at 2550 Old Whigham Road, will hold a Birthing Experience Summit 2012, “Positioned and Ready to Deliver,” on Sept. 6 through Sept. 9. Evening services are at 7:30 on Sept. 6 and Sept. 7. Sept. 8 is Youth Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an evening service at 6 p.m. The Sept. 9 service is at 10 a.m. Speakers will vary. Mt. Zuma M.B. Church — The church, located at 2015 Vada Highway, will celebrate its church and pastor anniversaries. Rev. Harry J. Mitchell Sr. has been a pastor for 19 years, while the church is marking its 104th anniversary. The celebration will take place Sept. 12 through Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m., nightly, and on Sunday, Sept. 16, at 11:30 a.m., and 2 p.m., with various guest speakers each day.

New Salem FWB Church — The church, located at 2574 Spring Creek Road, will celebrate the seventh anniversary for Minister Melba Washington, on Sept. 16, at 1:30 p.m., with pastor Randall Hines Sr. and Kingdom Harvest Fellowship bringing the message.

Piney Grove M.B. Church — The church, located on Piney Grove Road, in Whigham, Ga., will have a pastor’s appreciation service for the Rev. Harry J. Mitchell Sr., on Sept. 23, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Percy Leggett, of Iron City, Ga., speaking.
