Wendell Anderson “Andy” Barrineau, 56, of Cairo, Ga., passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, following an extended illness. Services are at 3 p.m., on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Providence Baptist Church, in Whigham, Ga. Pastor Johnny Moore and Pastor Steve Singletary will officiate. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery in Whigham.

Active pallbearers will be Clint Mathers, Tyler Fain, Chris Godwin, Donald Barrineau, Curt VanLandingham and Jody Singletary.

Mr. Barrineau was born June 23, 1956, to Wendell and Dorothy Hancock Barrineau, who survive. He was raised in Grady County. On Dec. 20, 1990, he married Barbara Ritter Barrineau. His love of farming and hunting led Andy to establish Dixie Dew Vegetables Farm, Turkey Creek Guide Hunting Services and the managing of Pafran Farms and Foshalee Plantation. Andy loved God which was so evident in his Sunday School book he wrote entitled “Fallow Ground.” Andy was a loving husband and father. He was a former member of Family Worship Center and an active member of Living Hope Faith Center.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Barrineau; grandparents, James and Myrtle Barrineau and Homer and Rosa Hancock.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Barrineau of Cairo; sons, Gerald Trotman (Michelle) of Marianna, Fla., Jamie Trotman (Stacey) of Whigham;  daughters, Brooke Barrineau Chandler of Huntsville, Ala., Michelle Barrineau Wilson (Brent) of Tallahassee, Fla., Miranda Barrineau Killough of Bainbridge;  grandchildren, Megan Trotman of Marianna, Fla., Dylan Chandler of Huntsville, Zachary Trotman of Marianna, Mary Claire Killough of Bainbridge, Samantha Trotman of Marianna;  sisters, Karen Rowland (Franz) of Boston, Ga., Robin Rogers (Jeffrey) of Whigham, Lynn Takach (Tony) of Whigham; parents, Wendell and Dorothy Barrineau of Whigham; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Clark Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of the arrangements.
