Kristan Whatley, a Bainbridge College student, from Blakely, Ga., recently attended the Sigma Kappa Delta National English Honor Society’s national convention, in New Orleans, La., and won a top prize playing a “Jeopardy!”-style game for literature. Whatley said approximately 100 other students were at a pizza party and they had a Jeopardy-style sort of literary quiz and her team won. “It was a fun little icebreaker,” Whatley said. She was accompanied by Dr. Betty LaFace, the honor society’s BC adviser.
