Bainbridge Public Safety arrested four people on drug-related charges after executing search warrants at two residences Thursday, March 15.

Early Thursday morning, BPS investigators, Capt. Ryan Wimberly and Capt. James Dollar, executed a search warrant at 1500 Bethel Road Apt. A, Investigator Mark Esquivel said. BPS had recently received information and complaints about illegal drug activity around the apartment, Esquivel said.

Inside the apartment, officers found marijuana, packaging material and marijuana stems. Officers also found marijuana in a Dodge Durango driven by 19-year-old Krista Mya Stubbs of 1077 E. Cumberland Court, Bainbridge, which was outside the residence when the search warrant was conducted, Esquivel said.

Stubbs and two others — Charelle Shanice Kelly, 24, of 1500 Bethel Road Apt. A and Rashad Derrell James, 26, of 1132 Julia Circle — were each charged with possession of marijuana (less than an ounce).

Shortly after 10 a.m., BPS officers executed a search warrant at 1017 Water St., whose occupants were still asleep when officers arrived.

After finding marijuana in the residence, officers arrested Courtney Michelle Moore, 19, of the same address, and charged her with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a housing project. Moore was also charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct, because the marijuana was located next to where an infant child was sleeping, Jordan said.

BPS investigators taking part in Thursday’s arrests included Esquivel, Chris Jordan, Anthony Stubbs, Ryan Deen and Chief Investigator Frank Green.
