Funeral services for Forrest Marshall Sr., 74, of Attapulgus, were held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Attapulgus, with O.C. Caldwell, Pastor and Freddie C. Anderson, officiating. Interment was in St. Paul PB Church Cemetery, with Devetress Chukes, Tederrel King Jr., Jason Marshall, Dennis Smith, Tommy Smith and Jerrod Warren acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Jenkins, Earl McGriff, Torey McGriff, Eddie Smith Jr., Eddie Smith Sr. and Lawrence Smith.

Mr. Marshall, also known as “Stick,” was born to the late Georgia Marshall and the late Mack Campbell Sr. on Nov. 9, 1937.

He became a Christian at an early age and joined Saint Paul Primitive Baptist Church, where he was a choir member until his health declined.

Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by two sons, Randolph Marshall and Donnie Marshall, and seven siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Louise Marshall; four daughters:  Erica Smith of Attapulgus, Glenda Gurley (Clinton) of Havana, Fla.,  Jacquelyn King (Tederrel) of Albany, Ga., and  Linda Faye Guyton (Alonza) of Attapulgus; three sons: Eric Smith, Alvin Marshall, and Forrest Marshall Jr., all of Attapulgus; two sisters, Mary Dixon and Pearl Campbell, both of Attapulgus; three brothers: Rufus Campbell, Tony Campbell, both of Fowlstown, and Earl Campbell (Linda) of Attapulgus; a daughter-in-law, Debra Marshall of Bainbridge; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
