Funeral Services for Donnie Lee Marshall, 50, were held Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Antioch M.B. Church, Brinson, with Pastor Cleveland Sanders officiating. Interment followed in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with Terry Chavers, C.J. Gurley, Tederrel King, Alvin Marshall, Forrest Marshall and Jason Marshall acting as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were Chris Hallman, Jason Marshall, Ronnie Porter, Scott Russell, Anthony Thompson and Fredrick Thompson.

Donnie Lee Marshall was born on May 21, 1961, to Forrest Marshall and Lela Mae Marshall. He was the third child of six. Donnie attended the public schools of Decatur County. He had three loves in life: family, friends, and fishing; all of which he cherished very much. A gentle spirit with a big heart, he met no stranger. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Donnie L. Marshall was called home.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Randolph Marshall.

He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Debra Marshall; a son, Jason Marshall of Attapulgus; a father, Forrest Marshall (Louise); four stepchildren: Phenice Russell (Scott), Fredrick Thompson (Kim), Moneack Thompson, and Anthony Thompson, all of Bainbridge; seven siblings: Alvin Marshall, Forrest Marshall, Jr., Eric Smith, Linda Faye Guyton (Lorenzo), Erica Smith, all of Attapulgus, Jacquelyn King (Tederrel) of Albany, Ga., and Glenda Gurley (Clinton) of Havana, Fla.; his favorite aunt, Mary Dixon of Attapulgus; an aunt, Willie Mae Vickers of Fowlstown; an uncle, Luther “Uncle Bill” Young of Bainbridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
